Description
FITC-DEAE-Dextran 70 is a cationic fluorescent dextran that may be used to study cell processes such as cell permeability, phagocytosis and endocytosis and to study mechanisms of biomolecular delivery. FITC-DEAE-Dextran 70 may be use to compare its selectivity versus neutral FITC-Dextran 70 or anionic FITC-CM-Dextran 70.

DEAE-Polysucrose is a polysucrose (renamed from Ficoll™) substituted with diethylaminoethyl (DEAE) groups. The DEAE-polysucrose from Aladdin is derived from a polysucrose with an average molecular weight of approximately 70 kDa. All batches are checked for molecular weight, degree of substitution and loss on drying. DEAE-polysucrose is supplied as a white powder.
Structure
Polysucrose is a high molecular weight sucrose-polymer formed by copolymerisation of sucrose with epichlorohydrin. The molecules are highly branched, and the high content of hydroxyl groups leads to very good solubility in aqueous media. DEAE-polysucrose is then prepared by reacting polysucrose with diethylaminoethyl chloride.
