This set in combination with BrdU and DNase I steps allows fordetection of BrdU pulse-labeled cells thereby enabling the examination of proliferating cells. Cycling cells are incubated with 5-bromo-2’-deoxyuridine (BrdU), a synthetic analog of thymidine which incorporates into newly synthesized genomicDNA during the S-phase of mitosis.
