Restriction endonucleases, other DNA-modifying enzymes and DNA primers were purchased from Invitrogen. For preparation of a recombinant baculovirus expressing UL12.5, the Bac-to-Bac system was used. The cells were transfected with a total of 1 µg of plasmid DNA using Lipofectamine PLUS.
